About Packages
All packages are based on the number of participants. If at any point you would like to increase your number of participants you can upgrade your package. You can also downgrade your package if you end up playing with fewer participants than you expected.
We will notify you via email and on your Dashboard if you exceed the number of participants allowed in your package. Participants will still be able to join your gift exchange and submit gifts, but you will need to upgrade before you can begin game play. You can upgrade at any time before you begin your game. If you try to start your gift exchange without upgrading, you be directed to do so before you can check-in players and begin play.

How to Upgrade Your Package
There are several ways to upgrade your package if you've created a Personal game and need to upgrade it, or if you'd like more participants available in your Standard game.
From the Game Screen (before game play begins)
- Log in to White Elephant Online and navigate to your dashboard
- From the Dashboard, click on your game under "Your Games"
- On the Manage Event tab, next to Your Package, click on the Upgrade button
- In the pop-up, select the package you would like to purchase based on your number of participants, select the state of your billing address and click checkout
- Enter your payment information and complete the checkout process; a receipt will automatically be sent to the email address associated with your account
- When you have finished the checkout process, you will be returned to the Game Screen and your upgrade will be automatically applied
From the Dashboard (before game play begins)
If more participants join your gift exchange than your package allows, you will be notified on your Dashboard and have the ability to upgrade at that time.
- Log in to White Elephant Online and navigate to your dashboard
- From the Dashboard, navigate to your game under "Your Games"
- Click on the alert icon next to the number of participants to be directed to the upgrade flow
From the Game Screen (game play is beginning)
On the scheduled day of your gift exchange you will see a warning icon on the game screen if you've exceeded the number of participants allowed in your package. You can click on the link to follow the upgrade flow.
You can also upgrade during the check-in process. Clicking on the link will take you to the upgrade flow. If you attempt to check-in more players than your package allows, the system will alert you and require you to go through the upgrade flow.
How to Downgrade Your Package
Because participant lists can change up until you begin your gift exchange, we recommend that you wait until after your game has been completed to submit a downgrade request. You can downgrade your package by submitting a request here within 14 days of completing your gift exchange. Our team will review your request and issue a refund to the original form of payment.
